Use Of Artificial Intelligence For Creating ‘Deepfake’ Problematic’, Says Modi

Amid several “deepfake” videos targeting top actors going viral online, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed concerns about the use of artificial intelligence for creating such content.

He called the AI-powered technological feature “problematic” and urged the media to play an active role in educating the public about the potential risks associated with it.

Deepfakes use a form of artificial intelligence called deep learning to make manipulated images or videos of real people, making it appear as though the person in the video is saying or doing something they never did.
