Chennai airport receives fresh hoax bomb threat


Tension gripped Chennai International Airport on Wednesday following a hoax bomb threat that prompted a full-scale security operation. The incident occurred around 5.30 pm when the police control room received an alarming call claiming that explosives had been planted at multiple locations within the airport, set to explode at any moment.
In response, the Airport police and security officers were immediately alerted. The bomb squad and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) units conducted a thorough search of the airport premises. During this time, Airport Director C V Deepak convened a security meeting to coordinate efforts and ensure the highest level of safety for passengers and staff.
