Another feather in MMC’s hat

Madras Medical College (MMC) has achieved a significant milestone by securing the 10th spot in the 2024 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings. Notably, MMC has also been adjudged the top-ranked state government-run medical college in India.

Out of 706 medical colleges across the country, 182 government and private institutions participated in the NIRF rankings. The colleges were evaluated within four zones: South, North, East, and West. MMC emerged as a leader, placing 10th overall and first among state-run colleges.

Following the announcement, MMC Dean Dr. Theranirajan presented the NIRF rank certificate to Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian on Tuesday. The health minister lauded the college’s achievement during the felicitation event, highlighting it as a notable success for the institution and the state.
