Karunanidhi health: Union Minister Suresh Prabhu visits hospital

Chennai: “I am wishing DMK president and former Chief Minister Karunanidhi to get well soon. He has organised many protests for people’s welfare. He is one of the senior most leaders not only in Tamilnadu but throughout India,” said Union Commerce, Industry and Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu today.

He said this after meeting DMK working president M K Stalin along with the others in Kauvery Hospital here today.

Later, he also tweeted, ‘Called on @kalaignar89 Dr Karunanidhi with @ShahnawazBJP @DrTamilisaiBJP and our party leaders. We all wish he will get well soon to guide millions of his well wishers @arivalayam. Great leader who shaped politics for decades Get well soon #Kalaignar @mkstalin @KanimozhiDMK.’

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is also slated to visit Karunanidhi today, while President Ram Nath Kovind is already scheduled to meet the DMK president Sunday.

Sources informed that Karunanidhi is responding well to treatment and is likely to be discharged from hospital soon.
