Rajinikanth in Petta poster.

Fans of Rajinikanth were pleasantly surprised when Sun Pictures released a picture of Rajinikanth, looking young and dashing, from their production venture Petta, last evening.

Dressed in traditional attire, the 67-year-old actor looks half his age in the second poster. He also sports a striking handlebar moustache.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Petta stars Simran and Trisha in pivotal roles. Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Megha Akash and Bobby Simha will be seen sharing the screen space with Rajinikanth.

Bollywood’s popular actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will make his debut in K-town with Petta. The movie has music by Anirudh.

The first look of the film was released online recently, featuring Rajnikanth entering a church, holding a candelabra.

A major portion of the movie was shot in Darjeeling, while important sequences were canned in Chennai and Varanasi. Plans are on for a release in January 2019.
