Sasikala is no more member of AIADMK, says OPS

Chennai: Deputy Chief Minister and AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam today said deposed AIADMK leader V K Sasikala is no longer a member of the party.

He said those without the new membership card are no longer associated with the party.

Panneerselvam was speaking at the party headquarters at Royapettah, where he issued new membership IDs and for those who renewed it.

“Former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa paved the way and made this party grow with 1.5 crore cadres amid many troubles. The party is now being guided by true cadres. All AIADMK partymen are with us and even the common public support us,” he said.

He further said R K Nagar MLA T T V Dhinakaran has floated his own party and we do not have any trucks with him.

Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and AIADMK co-coordinator Palaniswami said Jayalalithaa was also instrumental in making the party grow outside the country.

Meanwhile, a petition was filed at the Election Commission by Sasikala’s side today asking it to conduct the election for the post of general secretary in the AIADMK.

In the petition, they have said that the EC should not accept the changes that are made in the bylaw of the party.
