Vellore: Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) will be hosting the 10th edition of its annual fiesta – graVITas – between 12 and 14 October. The institution has planned over 125 events and Rs 15 lakh worth of prizes would be given to winners.
With the theme ‘Technologies for Non-Technologists’ this year, it aims to provide opportunities to ignite and innovate the young minds to demonstrate their technical skills, a press release said.
Students from over 200 institutions across India have registered for graVITas. Events such as Mega-thon, Hack-a-Thon, Make-a-Thon, Build-a-Thon, Design-a-Thon, Health-a-Thon, DevFEST, Hello World 2.0, Geek-AI-Mania, Agri-a-Thon sponsored by industries like Google, Hewlett Packard, TCS, Siemens, Honeywell and Valeo were held between 4 and 7 October.
DevTalks in which leading technologists from industries like Google, Agora.io, LBRY, Slang Labs and CNCF interacted with young participants on the frontier areas of technology and the direction in which it is moving. Some of the notable events like Aero-dominator, Indian Drone Racing League and R C Baja will be conducted during the event.
