Kamal to do ‘Thevar Magan 2’ after ‘Indian 2’

Actor Rajinikanth announced his entry to politics on 31 December, 2017 and when everyone thought that he would bid bye to acting after Kaala, he chose to sign another biggie.

A few months ago, Kamal Haasan his own political party floated Makkal Needhi Maiam.

When everyone thought that he would quit acting and concentrate on politics, he chose to host the reality show Bigg Boss Season 2.

It was followed by pre-production works of his next movie Indian 2, to be directed by Shankar. Now the actor-politician has announced that he would do a sequel to his yesteryear hit Thevar Magan.

Kamal Haasan officially announced in Salem yesterday that Thevar Magan 2 is on the cards.

This will be his third sequel in a row after Vishwaroopam 2 and Indian 2.

More details regarding the rest of the cast and crew are expected to be announced in the coming days.

It should be recalled that there were speculations and rumours already on the said project, and the man himself has made it official.

Thevar Magan was a big hit at the box office and has various awards and honours to its credit. The film fetched five National Awards, including ‘Best Tamil Film’. Sivaji Ganesan and Kamal Haasan played the lead roles in this 1992 Bharathan directorial.
