Kamal afraid of Vijay, says Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan

Chennai: Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan has said that Makkal Needhi Maiam founder Kamal Haasan’s opinion of asking Vijay to join his party is like a person afraid of tiger asking it to sit on him, so that it won’t eat him.

Addressing mediapersons in Thakkalai, he said Kamal who is new to politics will not succeed in it as he is learning it from Communist teachers from Kerala and West Bengal

Commenting on the #MeToo issue, Radhakrishnan said accusations should not be made on any person without solid evidence.

He also said that Spiritual Tamil is being forgotten these days and said it should be given prominence again to improve the language.

“I will donate Rs 10 lakh if a Spiritual Tamil chair is set up at the Madras University,” he added.

He added that it is wrong not to acknowledge the efforts taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to preserve and promote Tamil language.

“No one thanked Modi when he said Tamil was older than Sanskrit. A resolution should be passed thanking him during the Tamil Iyakka function,” he added.
