As part of Talk Media’s policy to promote our country’s tradition and culture, a mega Kolu competition was conducted across the city during Navarathri, in which readers of all 16 editions of ‘Talk‘ participated in large numbers.
There was an overwhelming response from the participants. A panel of judges visited the houses of the contestants to have a glimpse of the Kolu display.
Among the hundreds of Kolu displays visited by the judges, the winners were selected by following stringent guidelines. The selection was majorly based on the presentation and the theme on which the Kolu dolls were arranged.
With 16 ‘Talks‘ pan Chennai, judges had an herculean task to arrive at a conclusion to pick the best ones. The prize distribution function of the grand finale will be held at Vani Mahal, T Nagar, Chennai on Tuesday (23 October) from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Chief guest, Bharathanjali founder Anitha Guha will give away prizes to the best kolu displays selected by the panel of judges. A dance performance by Bharatha Shetram, founder J Surya Narayanamurthy, will also be part of the event.
