Swami Omkarananda to hold discourse on Bhagavad Gita

Chennai: Swami Omkarananda of Adiguru Prajna Dakshinamurti Vidyapitam, Theni, will render lecture session on Chapter 13 of Bhagavad Gita at Sri Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha (Vani Mahal), G N Chetty Road, T Nagar, from 26 to 29 October, between 6.30 pm and 8 pm.

A press release said, under the topic ‘Gnaanam’, Swamiji will be exploring the verses from the 13th Chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, where Lord Sri Krishna has taught 20 values which are very essential for anyone, who wants to know the means for gaining undisturbed happiness and fulfillment filled with peace.

Speaking to ‘News Today’, Parasuramji of Vidyapitam said, Swamijis vision is ‘Happiness for all, at all times’ which in Tamil is ‘Anaivarukkum Amaithiyaana Anandam’ and all his lecture sessions are aimed at achieving this goal.

At the lecture session, Swamiji will throw light on the basic qualifications for attaining the ultimate goal of human life.
Swami Omkarananda is an outstanding teacher of vedanta known for his eloquence and in depth knowledge of Tamil and Sanskrit, quoting seamlessly from Upanisads, Tirukkural, Thiruvasagam and Thevaram.
