Chennai: Amid rising cases of dengue and swine flu in the State, 16-year-old Vijay of Ayyanchery, Urapakkam, lost his life owing to intense respiratory difficulty and fever.
A well-placed source from Chengalpattu Health Services Department told News Today, “The patient had initially consulted a private doctor and was advised to continue the treatment at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital (RGGGH) on 24 October. The test reports revealed that he has been negatively diagnosed for dengue.”
However, the official said the test for swine flu was not taken.
