Rajini ‘forgives’ expelled Makkal Mandram members

Chennai: Ten members of Rajini Makkal Mandram from Cuddalore who were relieved off their duties by the disciplinary committee head Elavarasan, due to their ‘misconduct’, have been reinstated after they tendered unconditional apology.

Cuddalore district honorary secretary O L Periyasamy, Virudhachalam town secretary Rajini Baskar, and assistant secretary Thendral Murugan were among those who were removed from their party post.

Soon after the action, they sent apology letters to Rajinikanth and also met him personally. Following this Elavarasan in a press statement announced the revoking of the disciplinary action against the members and asked the other cadres to cooperate with them whole-heartedly.
