Chennai: Leading NBFC Sundaram Finance Ltd, has registered a 11 per cent rise in net profit for the first half year at Rs 295 crore, as compared to Rs 265 crore registered in the same period last year.
Loan disbursements for the first half year ended 30 September went up 15 per cent to Rs 8,325 crore as compared to Rs 7,217 crore registered in same period last year.
The company registered a net profit of Rs 154 crore for Q2 as compared to Rs 153 crore. Loan disbursements for Q2 stood at Rs 4,263 crore as compared to Rs 3,797 crore.
MD, Sundaram Finance, TT Srinivasaraghavan, said, “While asset growth and asset quality remained strong, margins came under some pressure during the quarter.”
