Nadigar Sangam tells actors to boycott defaulting producers

Chennai: South Indian Artistes Association (Nadigar Sangam) today issued an instruction urging actors not to co-operate with producers who fail to pay them the remuneration for acting in their ventures.

In a press release here, the association said recently, Madras Enterprises failed to pay a part of their salary to actor Vishal for acting in Thupparivalan and Vikram Prabhu for Veera Sivaji.

It was also said Vijay Sethupathi was not paid his salary for 96. However, due to circumstances that demanded the release of these movies, the actors put up with the inconvenience.

Considering the situation, Nadigar Sangam has advised artistes not to co-operate with producers who fail to pay them the remuneration for acting in their ventures.
