The inaugural function happened at Jai Gopal Garodiya School, Virugambakkam, in the presence of SSA Project Director Sudalai Kannan, South Chennai MP, Dr J Jayavardhan, Virugambakkam MLA, V N Ravi, Rotary District Governor 3232 Babu Peram, Rotary Club of Chennai Capital president Sanjay Goel and Rotary members.
Speaking to ‘News Today,’ SKM Best Eggs managing director Shree Shivakumar said, “Protein plays a vital role in every stage of a child’s development and sadly, nine out of 10 Indians are protein deficient. Though protein is available from a plethora of sources, egg for a long time has remained as a reliable and an affordable source.”
He further said, “It is important to increase the protein intake at a very early stage. We are happy to join hands with Rotary Club of Chennai Capital and District 3232 to create awareness at the grassroots-level. We are immensely delighted in helping thousands of children and also educating them about the importance of high protein diet.”
