Chennai: E Age print 2019, a four-day event that brings together detailed and system solution for the printing, packaging and allied industries under one roof will be organised by the Madras Printers and Lithographers Association (MPLA), in partnership with Meese India from 31May to 3 June 2019 at Chennai Trade Centre.
The curtain raiser event held here on Saturday was presided over by the members of the All India Federation of Master Printers.
Speaking on the occasion, MPLA president G N Vishvakumar said, “At E Age print, there will be key insights from industry leaders and service providers along with a demonstration of latest technology that will benefit a lot of printers.”
“The event helps printers to adapt to the new changes in the industry and we are expecting over 20,000 printing professionals and 200
exhibitors from 15 countries to attend. There will also be a printer’s conference with eminent personalities from the industry. The proceeds of the event will also go out to the undergraduate and postgraduate students studying in print institutions on the State,” he added.
“We have divided the E Age into two parts – post-print and packaging. We did this to cater to the complete ecosystem of the printing and
packaging industry. We are also looking at innovative technologies and there will be a lot of demos during the event,” said the exhibition committee chairman P Chandar.
“Printing has become the become the fourth largest sector in the Indian economy. There is always tremendous potential in this business. In India, the printing industry is still at a very good stage. Printing will be demand in the country even after 30-40 years. With exhibitions like this, the printers can get knowledge of the latest technology and enhance their services to the nation,” said All India Federation of Master Printers president Raveendra Joshi.
