After his serious and intense Vada Chennai, Dhanush is all set to show off his acting prowess in a very cool and thara-local role of a Triplicane gangster in Maari-2 which will hit the screens 21 December.
On Tuesday morning, filmmaker Balaji Mohan tweeted, “#Maari2 releasing worldwide on Dec 21st as planned earlier! Trailer out tomo!”
The trailer of the sequel to Maari will be released 5 December. The movie is being anticipated across south India as apart from Dhanush in the lead, the antagonist role is played by Malayalam star Tovino Thomas whose rugged looks were equal to that of Maari’s.
The film also has Sai Pallavi playing Maari’s love interest along with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Kreshna in pivotal roles.
It has already been said the much-awaited film of Seethakathi, which will be the 25th film of Vijay Sethupathi, too, would hit the screens during the same weekend – but a day earlier – 20 December.
