Chennai: Two school students lost their cameras to fake policemen at Tirusulam yesterday.

According to sources, Naveen (16) and his friend were clicking pictures of a CRPF shooting camp at a ground in Tirusulam when two men on a bike came to them and said they were not allowed to click photos in the restricted area.

The men confiscated the two DSLR cameras worth Rs 1 lakh and reprimanded them. They were asked to collect the cameras from Meenambakkam police station.

Later, Naveen informed his father Shivaraman about what happened and the duo went to the police station. To their surprise, they were informed that no policeman from the station had taken away the cameras. A police complaint was filed.
