History-sheeter brutally assaulted in Chennai

Chennai: A rowdy with as many as nine cases pending against him has been admitted to government hospital after three unknown persons brutally attacked him last evening.

According to the police, Sathish (31), a resident of Madha Koil Street, Nolambur, was found by passersby after three men hacked him at an isolated spot at SBM Garden.

Police said, “Sathish, who was drunk received injuries on his head, hand, leg and hip. We do not know who attacked him or what the motive was. He is undergoing treatment at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital and his condition is stable.”

Sathish has nine cases against him including a murder at Maduravoyal and in the past he attacked a policeman at Poonamallee.
