“After all these years of acting in Tamil films, I have finally found out what my strengths are,” says a confident Vishnuu Vishal, who recently tasted success with a thriller Ratsasan. His next is a rural-comedy, titled Silukkuvarpatti Singam. It is hitting the screens next week.
Speaking to News Today, Vishnuu says, “I play a police officer in Silukkuvarpatti Singam. The troubles that he faces in his life forms the crux of the movie.”
Excerpts from his interview:
Q: Tell us about Silukkuvarpatti Singam.
A: The audience should not expect a Ratsasan in Silukkuvarpatti Singam. It is a comedy film quite like my Velainu Vanthutta Vellakaaran. I am confident that everyone would love the movie. I play a police officer who takes everything easy in his life.
Q: How do you choose your films?
A: It took a long time for me to discover my potential. Now, after doing films like Ratsasan, Jeeva and Indru Netru Naalai, I have found that I can fit well in content-oriented films. So, I have decided to do three content-driven flicks and a comedy like Velainu Vanthutta Vellakkaran in-between.
Q: What are your forthcoming films?
A: I have already signed a movie, titled Jagajaala Killadi by Ezhil, which is, again, a rural comedy. After that I would be doing a serious movie by Prabhu Solomon, titled Kaadan, which is based on elephants. Also, I will be seen in the sequel of Indru Netru Naalai. I am listening to a lot of stories and will carefully choose scripts hereafter.
Q: Are you eyeing more sequels?
A: Yeah, that could happen. Already, I have listened to the stories of Mundaasupatti-2 and Jeeva-2. Both have awesome storylines. Even Silukkuvarpatti Singam can have a sequel, as we have made this movie with an open end.
