Chennai: “Though 50 per cent of the world population is constituted by women, they fail to undergo regular health screening compared to their counterparts – men. In addition, women do not speak out when it concerns sexual health and do not consult a doctor when they have issues,” said Aakash Fertility Centre and Hospital director, Dr Jeyarani Kamaraj.

Addressing the media today in view of celebrating its silver jubilee, she said, “There has been no proper treatment for curing female sexual dysfunction.”

“The hormonal changes in women’s physiology leads them to experience vaginal dryness, tightening, atrophy and stress urinary incontinence that affects their regular life. To treat such sensitive problems, the hospital has introduced Femilift – a laser technology that takes minimal time and no post-op period,” explained Dr Jeyarani.

The hospital inaugurated its new branch at Kotturpuram and is conducting a three-day free medical camp, free bone mineral density and neuropathy test. The team has also announced that five orthopedic surgeries will be performed free of cost.
