CM inaugurates two co-operative unions

Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami inaugurated the newly developed Namakkal and Tiruppur co-operative unions that come under the Tamilnadu Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited, through video conferencing from the Secretariat here Monday.

He also opened the newly restored Coimbatore, Erode and Salem co-operative unions.

A statement from the State Information and Public Relations Department stated that under the Tiruppur union, 461 prime associations are present with 84,566 members who produce a combined output of 2.3 lakh litres of milk.

Until new milk storage facilities are installed at the newly created unions, milk supply will be managed with supply from other unions, the statement said.
