Ajith’s ‘Viswasam’ gets ‘U’ certificate without cuts

Ajith’s Viswasam has been censored. The movie has managed a clean ‘U’ without any cuts.

After Vivegam, director Siruthai Siva has teamed up with actor Ajith for the fourth time. The movie will hit theatres during Pongal 2019.

In this family-entertainer, Ajith will be seen playing a double role. Along with Ajith in the lead role, the film also stars Nayanthara, Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiah and Kovai Sarala among others.

With music by D Imman, Viswasam saw its audio released a few days ago.

Produced by Sathyajothi Thygarajan, one of the characters played by Ajith in the movie is Thooku Durai.

Interestingly, Siva, in an interview, said, “Viswasam will be entirely a new format for Ajith sir’s film. It will be a through and through a family entertainer which happens in the backdrop of  a village called Koduvilarpatti, in Theni district, and after interval, it switches to a city backdrop.”

Nayanthara, teaming up with the actor for the fourth time, will be seen in a character called Niranjana.

Viswasam will clash with Rajinikanth-starrer Petta.

Petta is produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The cast also includes Simran, Trisha, Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Nawazuddin Siddiqui among others. Music is by Anirudh.
