Chennai: Newborns of Indian grey wolf and nilgai are put on display yards for the first time at the Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Vandalur.
A press release said, “Indian grey wolf female had littered seven pups two months back. Of these six are male and one is female. After continuous veterinary monitoring and ensuring that these pups have reached a stable phase, they are put on display yard along with its mother.”
The release further said there are 13 Indian grey wolf at Arignar Anna Zoological Park. Similarly, two female nilgais in the zoo had littered two calves each, which is also available for the visitors view in the display yard.
It is also said additional facilities like extra battery vehicles, separate rooms for feeding mothers, more parking facility have been provided for the ease of visitors who visit the zoo.
