The teaser of Vikram-starrer Kadaram Kondan, being produced by Rajkamal Films International and directed by Rajesh M Selva, will be out 15 January.
The film also has Akshara Haasan playing a crucial role.
Sources say that Kadaram Kondan could also be a reference to Chola King Rajendra Chola-I, who sent an expedition in the 11th century to invade Kadaram (Sri Vijaya / Kidah in modern Malaysia) on behalf of one of its rulers who sought his assistance to gain the throne.
The film has music by Ghibran.
The buzz is that the teaser of Kadaram Kondan will be out 15 January.
Besides Kadaram Kondan, Vikram is busy with Dhruva Natchathiram and Karnan among others. Sources say that he would join hands with Mani Ratnam for a movie soon, inspired by Ponniyin Selvan.
Vikram and Mani Ratnam worked together in Raavan before.
