Coast Guard to conduct fitness challenge at VIT 27 January

Chennai: The Indian Coast Guard will conduct the Coast Guard Fitness Challenge 27 January at Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai campus as part of its month-long celebration of its 43rd Raising Day that falls 1 February.

The event is being conducted in a team format and teams from corporates, armed forces, college students, fishermen, and local populace will be participating.

The event is intended to test the fitness capability of participants and expose them to fitness, adventure, and sports activities for one-day, a press release said.

There is no registration fee. However, advanced registration is required and it will be on a first come first serve basis. The total participants will be restricted to 500 only.

The event will start at 9.30 am. Additional Director General of Police C Sylendra Babu will be the chief guest.
