35-km green corridor created in Hyderabad to transport organs

Hyderabad: Two ambulances transporting vital harvested heart and lungs were helped by the authorities on Friday. A 35-km green corridor was created to facilitate its travel through the city.

According to a police release, a heart from Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad, was brought to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, in just 30 minutes with the help of the green corridor.

Another similar passage was created to enable an ambulance from Yashoda Hospital to Apollo hospital, Jubilee hills, in 12 minutes. The vehicle was transporting lungs, eyes and kidneys.
