Kodanad video case: Supporting CM, OPS says they will tackle it legally

Chennai: Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam has said they would legally tackle the Kodanad video case that has dragged in the name of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.

Speaking to mediapersons at the airport this morning, he said the charges against the Chief Minister were baseless.

He also said anybody having information regarding the case was welcome to provide it to the police.

In the video released by media house Tehelka, one of the accused out on bail has claimed that the mastermind in the break-in at Kodanad that led to murder and burglary, was in touch with Palaniswami.

K V Sayan and Walayar Manoj, the two accused who appeared in the video, were picked up from Delhi yesterday by the police. They were grilled by the cops for close to five hours and the inquiry is still on.

In a related development, social activist Traffic Ramaswamy has filed a petition in the Madras High Court to order a CBI probe into the case as, he said, it would not be right for the Tamilnadu police to probe the case involving the State’s Chief Minister.
