Adelaide: The second ODI between India and Australia began this morning. Having won the toss, Australia chose to bat. Unfortunately they lost both their openers. Finch and Carry were dismissed. After 10 overs, Australia were 38 for 2.
India meanwhile made one change in their playing XI. Siraj copmes in place of Khaleel. Siraj is making his ODI debut. The right-arm pacer has already played three T20Is which came in 2017/18. Siraj was also part of Test squad for home series against West Indies.
After a year of disappointing performances, Australia managed to pull off one of their best victories in ODI in over two years against India at the SCG. And with the 1-0 lead in the contest, the series stands on the line for Virat Kohli and his men amid plenty of questions for the ‘formidable’-tagged side. Australia showed their batting class with three fifty-plus knocks coming from the middle-order lineup, while the second-string bowling attack formed by the new-ball pair of Jason Behrendorff and Jhye Richardson had reduced India to 4 for three within four overs.
