Bengaluru: Even as Karnataka is facing a political crisis ahead of Lok Sabha polls, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy took time off to watch the trailer of his son’s movie ‘Kurukshetra.‘
Two MLAs withdrew support to the JD(S)-Congress coalition government, which led to political turmoil in the State. ‘Kurukshetra‘, is a Kannada period movie based on the Mahabharata. The film is based on the ‘Gadayuddha‘ by poet Ranna.
Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Gowda plays Abhimanyu in the film, which is being produced by MLA Muniratna. The Chief Minister, who was impressed with the trailer, said that he had never seen a movie of this scale ever made in Kannada before.
