Chennai: The Opposition DMK will stage a protest demonstration in front of the Raj Bhavan on 24 January demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the Kodanad incidents.
It may be recalled that a former Tehelka Journalist had released a video clipping in New Delhi recently alleging murder and break-ins at Kodanad estate of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa linking the involvement of
Palaniswami.
In a statement here on Tuesday, DMK president and Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly M K Stalin said the protest demonstration was also to urge Governor Banwarilal Purohit to take Constitutional measures against Palaniswami and order a SIT probe headed by an Inspector General of Police into the Kodanadu incidents.
