DVAC raids police officer’s house in Chennai

Chennai: A special team of officers from Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) carried out a raid at the house of former Assistant Commissioner of Police Teynampet range C S Muthalagu following allegation of corruption and bribery.

This morning a special team of DVAC raided his police quarters in Anna Nagar Main Road.

It may be noted that in May, Muthalagu came under controversy after a WhatsApp audio began doing rounds in social media where he was allegedly asking for bribe of Rs 5 lakh from an accused in a kidnap case. He was soon transferred to vacancy reserve.
