Junior Super Kings tournament: Splendid show by Kamaleshwaran

Kamaleshwaran receives Man of the Match award.

Chennai: Kamaleshwaran (4/14) scalped four wickets as St Bede’s AIHSS (Chennai) defeated Plato’s Academy (Tirupur) by nine wickets in the final phase of the Muthoot Group Junior Super Kings Inter-School T20 tournament held at the ICL Cricket Ground in Tirunelveli.

Batting first, Plato’s Academy was bowled out for a paltry 77 thanks to Kamaleshwaran’s four-wicket haul. The winner cruised to the total in 10.1 overs, losing just one wicket.

Plato’s Academy (Tirupur) 77 all-out in 19.5 overs (R Divakar 20, S Nikhilesh 2/13, Kamaleshwaran 4/14) lost to St Bede’s AIHSS (Chennai) 80 for 1 in 10.1 overs (Vignesh S Iyer 39*, S Rithik Easwaran 29*)

Neelambal HSS (Salem) 58 all-out in 16 overs (G Kannan 28, B Sachin 3/12, P Sakthivel 2/18, P Jobin Jerald 2/1) lost to Sri Jayendra Saraswathi MHSS (Coimbatore) 61 for 1 in 6.3 overs
