Chennai: Three gun-wielding men shot at two employees of a State-run TASMAC liquor shop at Chengam Perumuttum, Tiruvannamalai.
According to sources, the unidentified assailants opened fire at Shanmugam (40), the manager of the shop and at salesman Lakshmanan (42). They both suffered injuries on their legs. The gang then took the cash in the outlet, an amount of Rs 3 lakh, and fled.
Police said, the trio came on a two-wheeler and were wearing black masks. Shanmugam and Lakshmanan are undergoing treatment for the injuries at Government Hospital, Thiruvnannamalai. Police have registered a case and are searching for the trio.
