PCKG government school gets new library

Chennai: Lions Club of Central Madras renovated an existing room at PCKG Government H S School, Arcot Road, and converted it into a reading room and library to benefit over 1,300 students.

According to a press release, the library is named as ‘PMJF Lion G V Raman Library and Reading Room,’ in recognition of past district governor G V Raman for his services to the needy and downtrodden for the past 52 years and still continuing it.

The library was inaugurated by Lions District Governor (324A1) A Ghulam Hussian recently.

Addressing the students, he asked them to concentrate on their studies and improve their general knowledge by going to the library and reading books.

were among those present.

School headmistress Tamil Arasi welcomed the gathering and thanked L/C Central Madras for fulfilling her request.
