Karnataka temple poisoning: 3 women arrested

Bengaluru: In connection with the poisoning of temple offering at Gangamma temple on 25 January, the Karnataka police arrested three women on Tuesday. 

According to police report, the arrested women were identified as Lakshmi, Amaravathi and Parvathamma and they have been charged with IPC Section 304 and remanded in judicial custody.

On the fateful evening, many devotees who visited the temple located in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapura district consumed the prasadam and later complained of vomiting and loose motions. Two women died subsequently and many admitted in hospitals.
