Bengaluru: Prajwal Revanna, JD(S) general secretary and the grandson of JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda, on Tuesday was accused of using a state-owned car for personal use. The accusation was made by the BJP’s Karnataka unit, who said that it was an insult to tax payers.

Posting a video of Prajwal Revanna travelling in a car with a sticker of ‘Karnataka Government’ pasted on it, the BJP took to twitter to lash out on Deve Gowda’s grandson. One of their tweets said Gowda’s grandchildren are having fun with someone else’s tax money.

“Super CM Sri. H D Revanna’s son uses govt cars for personal use. A classic example of what dynasty rule can do to any state. These acts by former PM Sri.Deve Gowdas family members is an insult to the tax payers,” the tweet added.

Reports claim that the incident happened at Deve Gowdas parliamentary constituency of Hassan, where Prajwal met party workers.

Prajwal had recently made headlines when, Deve Gowda indicated that Prajwal would be contesting the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Hassan, the JD(S) strong hold that he has been representing. Prajwal would be the third generation of the Gowda family to step into electoral politics.
