Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today flagged off 15 new ambulances for the 102 service which is used for drop and pick up services for women and newborn children.
Former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had first launched the 102 vehicles service in Chennai and later it was extended to other districts. Following this, ten new vehicles was launched by Palaniswami in May 2017.
With the launch of the 15 new vehicles, the 102 service’s fleet has increased from 71 to 86. Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, Health Minister C Vijaya Bhaskar and senior health officials were present during the flagging off.
