Chennai: As per the direction of the Election Commission of India, District Contact Centres (DCCs) have been established in all the districts of Tamilnadu. According to a press release, the DCCs have been provided with the toll free voter helpline number 1950 uniformly across the State.
Voters may get the information regarding electoral registration, form status, EPICs, polling station and Assembly constituency, electoral officers and elections.
Voters may also furnish feedback, suggestions, and complaints. The DCCs will receive localised queries pertaining to their districts. Apart from the DCCs, a State Contact Centre has been functioning in the office of Chief Electoral Officer for voters convenience with the Toll free No.180042521950 and is functioning from 25 January 2019, the National Voters’ Day. The SCC will handle generalised complaints and feedback/suggestions, the release said.
