Chennai: Makkal Needhi Maiam founder, actor Kamal Haasan, has reiterated that his party would be contesting the 2019 general elections.
Speaking to reporters here this morning, he refused to answer a question on alliance. He said there was no necessity or hurry to discuss alliance matters. But, he said, he could say that the party will definitely be contesting the elections.
Taking to Twitter, Kamal Haasan lambasted the Centre for the 2019 Union Budget. He said any economist could spot the loopholes in the budget.
He said the Budget has not allocated anything for Tamilnadu.
The Budget might look glossy from outside but it is not a satisfactory one, said Kamal. It is a Budget that has been prepared for the BJP and not the people, he charged.
The MNM founder has been a bitter critic of the Central government headed by the BJP.
