Telangana did not get its due share in Union Budget: Congress

Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy on Monday slammed the Modi government for the Union Budget saying Telangana did not get its due share in all the union budgets presented by the BJP government.

The promises made with Telangana in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act have not been fulfilled, the State has been denied funds for Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya and Kaleshwaram project, Railway Coach Factory at Qazipet, Steel Plant at Bayyaram and many other projects remained a non-starter, he said in a release.

Reddy also blamed the K Chandrasekhar Rao-led TRS Government for not protesting against Modi over this issue.

Vijayashanti appointed as Chairperson of TPCC campaign committee

Congress leader and former MP Vijayashanti was appointed as the chairperson of TPCCs campaign committee by Congress President Rahul Gandhi. The publicity committee is headed by MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy.
