Noted film financiers have come together to form a new association in Tamil cinema. Tiruppur Subramanian has been elected as the president of the South Film Financiers Association.
Arun Pandian has been chosen as the secretary and Madurai Anbu is the treasurer. Chandra Prakash Jain is the Vice President.
Speaking about the association, Tiruppur Subramanian said, “We have formed this association to help Tamil films which are facing last-minute delays and regulate the finance flow in the industry. There are producers who get funds from producers and start a project but without releasing the film, they move on to the next project. Henceforth, without the written consent of a financier who funded for a particular producer, other financiers won’t come forward and fund the film.”
The association has also decided that actors and directors who get advance for one film should first complete the agreed project before start shooting for their new films.
