Tiruvallur: A two-year-old girl, hailing from Sirukumi village, got her head stuck between steel pillars at Tiruttani railway station on Friday. She was freed after the railway police cut the pillars with a welding machine.
According to reports, Keerthana was playing on the platform at the railway station when she stuck her head into the gap between the pillars and but later couldn’t take it out. Her parents hearing her cries rushed to her and tried to bend the pillars. When the pillars couldn’t be bent, the parents alerted the railway police.
The police used a welding machine to cut them and saved the child without harming her. The family was on its way to Tirupathi when the incident took place.
