Tirupati: Top officials of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Sunday laid the foundation stone for Lord Venkateswara temple at Amaravati, which is a replica of the Tirupati temple located at Tirumala.
According to reports, the proposed budget for the temple is estimated to be Rs 150 crore. The Andhra Pradesh government offered to construct the temple, devotees’ accommodations, holy tank and a meditation hall (25 acres) free of cost. The temple would be completed before in 2021, said reports.
Recently, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu along with TTD officials conducted ‘Bhukarshanam,’ which was followed by week-long rituals at the temple site.
