Bengaluru: BJP MLA Preetam Gowda’s house was allegedly attacked by JDS workers at Hassan on Wednesday and the issue was raised in the Karnataka Assembly. Gowda represents Hassan.
According to reports, the JD(S) workers pelted stones at the BJP leader’s house and accused him of conspiring to topple the Congress-JD(S) government. A BJP worker sustained injury in the incident and he was later admitted to the hospital, said a report.
Hitting back at BJP for attacking his house, Gowda accused the Chief Minister of being responsible for the attack. Gowda claimed that the attackers said that H D Revanna and Kumaraswamy had ordered them to ensure that he was not alive that his entire family will be destroyed.
The issue was raised in the Assembly. BJP state unit chief Yeddyurappa claimed that Kumaraswamy was behind the attack. Responding to his comments, JDS members hit back saying that it was the BJP which was indulging in horse-trading.
Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy had recently released two audio clips purportedly of BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa trying to lure JD(S) MLA Nagan Gouda, claiming the party was trying to topple his government and it was being done with the knowledge of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
