BCCI women cricket match: TN women suffer narrow defeat

Chennai: Tamilnadu suffered a narrow two-wicket defeat at the hands of Odisha in the BCCI Women (Under-19) Elite Group C One-Day match at the Goa Cricket Association Academy in Goa.

Batting first, TN skipper S B Keerthana struck an unbeaten 76 to help her side reach 162 for nine in its 50 overs.

None of the other batswomen made useful contribution, with five of them losing their wickets through run-outs. Odisha chased the target in 48.4 overs, thanks to Sweet Beura 44 not out. K N Ramyashri was the best bowler for TN, scalping three wickets for 27 runs.
