TN loses close contest against Mumbai in BCCI U-23 One Day cricket match

Chennai: K Mukunth’s (112) century went in vain as Tamilnadu lost a close contest against Mumbai by three runs in the BCCI Men Under-23 ‘Elite A&B’ One-Day match at the KL Saini Stadium in Jaipur.

TN chose to field after winning the toss. Mumbai was skittled out for 232 in 49.2 overs, with Suved Parkar top-scoring for it with 67 runs. During the chase, TN was in cruise control as Mukunth and S Radhakrishnan (51) shared a 106-run third-wicket stand. After that, Mukunth played a lone hand as he ran out of partners. He hit 13 boundaries and a solitary six during his stay, but couldn’t help his side cross the finish line.
