Chennai: The 13th edition of the annual Water Expo was inaugurated in the city with focus on clean water supply to rural areas, desalination and drinking water among others.
The three-day expo, which will conclude tomorrow, included extensive activities such as exchange of knowledge, technology and open interaction with water and wastewater fraternity.
Held at the Chennai Trade Centre, the expo houses over 250 exhibitors, 3,000 products and more than 15,000 water experts under one roof, featuring new technologies, products and services for automation, water management and effective conservation methods, a release stated.
Solutions to help meet the requirements of new regulations and sustainable water use were also on display, with top players taking part.
Concurrently, parallel conferences on latest developments in membrane technology, WATMAN International Conference on water and waste water management systems and a round-table discussion on plastics and thermocol ban were (and are to be) conducted.
