Chennai man donates Rs 30 lakh to National Heart Foundation

Industrialist R P Krishnammachari handing over a cheque for Rs 30 lakh to National Heart Foundation recently.

Industrialist and resident of Ashok Nagar, Chennai, R P Krishnammachari, donated Rs 30 lakh to National Heart Foundation, during the 40th Charternite of Lions Club of Mambalam held recently.

Dr S Rajan, founder of National Heart Foundation, instituted National Heart Foundation in 2005, to help poor patients suffering from cardiac problems.

The foundation conducts free cardiac screening programmes for the poor in slums and also villages.

It also conducts public awareness seminars and workshops on heart-related diseases.
